Muaūpoko registration helps us stay connected with our whānau and understand the needs of our iwi. If you whakapapa to Muaūpoko, we encourage you to register with Muaūpoko Tribal Authority.

Registration helps ensure you receive important pānui, updates, hui information and opportunities available to registered members.

By completing your Muaūpoko registration, you help strengthen our iwi database and improve communication with whānau.

Registered members can receive information about:

  • iwi hui and annual meetings
  • elections and voting
  • grants and support opportunities
  • kaupapa, events and wānanga
  • important Muaūpoko news and pānui

Registration also helps Muaūpoko Tribal Authority understand where our people live and how we can better support whānau.

Who can register?

You can register if you whakapapa to Muaūpoko. If you are unsure about your whakapapa or need help completing your application, please contact Muaūpoko Tribal Authority. Our team can help guide you through the registration process.

  • Please ensure you provide whakapapa details for your Muaūpoko parent(s), grandparent(s), tupuna etc. More details make it easier to confirm your registration.
  • Tamariki (<18 years) can be registered by a parent, guardian, or caregiver on the parents application. However once tamariki are aged 18, they must register themselves using a separate application.
  • Whāngai may apply with whakapapa to a Muaūpoko parent
  • Incomplete applications will not be processed.
  • You can also use this form to keep your details up to date so we can stay in touch about hui, events, and opportunities. You can update your information anytime.
