Ngati Pariri Wananga – Blue Sky session about Whare Kai Design

This Sunday 23 July 2017 we are holding a blue-skies wananga as part of the scoping phase of the wharekai build project. Exciting aye!! We have 15k funding to do the scoping exercise which will give us a clearer picture of what buiding the new wharekai will entail to make it a reality, i.e. cost, materials, resource consents, geotech reports, infrastructure, funding sources etc etc.

The wananga part is where we capture our vision for what the wharekai represents for Kohuturoa Marae. This is an opportunity for us all to share our vision for the wharekai. The wananga will follow the two AGM: Marae Trustees (12pm), Ngati Pariri Hapu Inc (1pm), Wharekai Rebuild Wananga (3pm).

We have kai sorted, you just bring your dreams, aspirations, ideas and share them with everyone as we start making the first real steps towards making this happen over the next 24 months.

We have an expert in the housing and Papakainga sector joining us with loads of experience just to share what the pathway looks like from this point forward.
